Neil Wegner, pioneer and founder, has been pushing VEX Robotics in the Alberta Region. He understands how this program helps introduce students, at an early age, to engineering, mechanical aptitude, and programming skills. The VEX program integrates physical concepts such as power, torque, mechanical advantage, with the abstract concepts of programming, to produce a tangible outcome.
From the start, Bryce Borgel has volunteered time and expertise for the VEX Robotics program. The VEX Robotics program has been successful since its inception, and Bryce has held positions as Referee and Head Referee at every competition. Over that time, Bryce has seen the rapid growth and acceptance of the VEX Robotics program, with the competition growing larger each year. The students are getting a stronger grasp of the rules, while the mechanical design of the projects are becoming more intricate and complex.
